Founder's Vision

Discipline. Recovery. Longevity.

I’m Rodney Rouzan, founder of Weal House Training.

Thirty-plus years in fitness. Air Force starting in 1997. Twenty-four years carrying a duty belt in law enforcement, where conditioning wasn’t optional — it was the job.

I raised my sons through track and field, football, and basketball. I coached youth football from age eight through the high school level, and basketball from five-year-olds up to athletes competing at the college level today — several of whom I’ve trained since they were kids and still work with now.

Then it got personal. My son Brandon tore his labrum. I watched teammates and gym members tear ACLs, Achilles tendons, patellar tendons — more than thirty people over the years, most of it chasing weight instead of building the structure to hold it. And in my own body: a strained ACL from years on bicycle patrol, then a bulging L4 disc that left my leg numb on patrol.

I was offered a surgical route. I chose conditioning and stretching instead. I’m still moving, and I still do my knee maintenance three times a week.

That’s the whole philosophy: ligaments, joints, and flexibility first. Structure before size. Balance the front and the back. Train the positions people are told to avoid instead of hiding from them. Sled work over ego lifting.

Thirty years of training myself and no major injuries. That isn’t luck — it’s the order of operations.

Weal is the Old English root for health and well-being. That’s what this business is for.

The Long Road

Antelope Valley Dedication

Rodney Rouzan has spent 30+ years coaching — through the Air Force, through a career in law enforcement, and through thousands of hours on the floor with athletes and everyday people.

The turning point was personal. When doctors recommended surgery, Rodney chose conditioning instead. He rebuilt himself through disciplined training, mobility work, and recovery — and came out stronger on the other side. That experience became the foundation of Weal House Training: build ligament strength, joint integrity, and flexibility first. Then add strength and size.

Today he brings that same approach to the Antelope Valley — training and recovery delivered to your door, backed by three decades of experience. Powered by science, not trends.
